Poipoi: transfer POIs with iPhone Explorer

PoiPoi icona Csv file transfer (PDI) on Poipoi USB cable is possible via software DiskAid that unfortunately a few months is charged.

The free alternative you can use is called "iPhone Explorer" and is developed by myPod Apps, LLC.

Poipoi: Released version 1.1

Now you can upload the same files you use on your navigation system directly on your iPhone in order to find restaurants, bars, pizzerias, pharmacies, ATMs, business services, cameras, etc. ...

The points of interest in Italy can be downloaded from the portal www.poigps.com (after registration) or created manually through the use of special software provided by:

• PoiEdit for Windows - www.poiedit.com
• PoiView for Mac - www.samposoft.com

Poipoi uses compatible Garmin POI in CSV format that can be transferred within the application through an FTP client or the application DiskAid (http://www.digidna.net/diskaid)

In order to function you must load the POIs in CSV format within the application.

The search function points in an off-line while you need the connection to the Internet for consultation on the map.

Main functions:

- Uploading Pdi via FTP client or application DiskAid
- Find points of interest around the current position
- Customize your search radius (default 15 km)
- Searching the location via GPS or by entering location / address
- View all search results on maps
- Display of the location on the map
- Viewing the route on the map
- Enter the coordinates via email
- Ability to make a phone call

Poipoi is compatible with iPhone 2G and iPod Touch but the GPS function is limited to WiFi triangulation is not always available.
